The Shroud of Turin is the most extensively studied and debated relic of the ancient world. It has been examined by forensic pathologists, surgeons, chemists, physicists, biologists, textile experts, and experts from NASA, Los Alamos National Scientific Laboratories, and the U.S. Air Force Academy. New technology has solved some of the mystery, but the study of this linen shroud continues…. |

This is a picture of an actual tomb in Jerusalem. You can see the top of the round stone which closes the tomb.
They were saying to one another, “Who will roll back the stone for us from the entrance to the tomb?” When they looked up, they saw that the stone had been rolled back; it was very large. Mark 16: 3,4 |

In 2000 after the Shroud was displayed, it was thought that it would not be displayed again until 2025. We were surprised and elated when Pope Benedict XVI , announced that it would be displayed April 10 to May 15 of 2010. He exclaimed to the pilgrims gathered in the Vatican’s Paul V Hall, “If the Lord grants me life and health, I too, hope to come to see the Shroud”. |
